Are You Worried About Signing an Alarm Monitoring Contract?

alarm contractSome of our customers get concerned when we ask them to sign a monitoring agreement. And we totally get that.

In fact, we applaud it. It’s wise to think twice before signing your name to any long term agreement.

However, there are good reasons why you can feel comfortable about approving this paperwork. You also have some great options which can make it a non-issue.

Why have an agreement at all?

Many of our customers wonder why they can’t just purchase their alarm services on a month-to-month basis. After all, the economy is unpredictable, and they might need to cut expenses at some point.

However, we’re also giving away $1300 in free equipment to all of our new customers, in part because the economy is so bad. We want to make home alarm system protection accessible to as many people as possible.

All we ask in return is that you agree to actually use the equipment as it was intended to be used by keeping your monitoring agreement active for a reasonable period of time. Doesn’t that make sense, given how much we’re already giving to you for free?

Your burglar alarm should be one of the last expenses you cut.

Your monthly alarm monitoring agreement is typically going to cost about as much as your weekly pizza night. It keeps your home and family safe and your homeowners and renter’s insurance will typically give you discounts that will offset some or all of the costs of having your system active.

That means that this is not really an expense you’d want to race to cut in the event that your life circumstances change. Consider cutting the pizza, the latte, or the cable bill first. After all, none of those expenses protects your family, and none of them entitle you to discounts on your insurance policies (which you have to pay for anyway).

You have at least one other option.

Customers who don’t really like contracts do have one other option. We sometimes offer discounts to customers who opt to pay for their services on an annual basis.

This can often be a lot less painful than dealing with yet another monthly bill. You’ll be surprised at how affordable it is overall. You still get your discounts, and you can stop thinking about your alarm monitoring agreement for an entire year.

But whether you choose to pay on a monthly basis or an annual basis, you shouldn’t put off getting an alarm system another minute. It can literally save your life. Live in Charlotte, NC or any of our other service areas? Call us today to find out how you can get $1300 of equipment for free!
